Real Durant setups
Parking lots and paved spaces
Our Durant photo was taken on pavement, not grass, which is common for storefront and parking lot events. On hard surfaces we anchor differently. Grass, turf, or concrete (secured with sandbags). Never on sand, plain dirt, or animal droppings; extra fees may apply. Let us know the surface when you book so we bring the right anchoring.
Durant parks with pavilions
The City of Durant Parks and Recreation Department lists pavilions at Carl Albert Memorial Park, Keithley Park and Splash Pad, and the covered pavilions at Lake Durant, with reservations handled through the city's online system. We set up in backyards and park pavilions around Durant; check the park's own rules and reservation first, then text us the park and date.
According to the city, Carl Albert Memorial Park covers 16 acres with a public pool, pavilions, a gazebo and big shade trees; Keithley Park adds a splash pad open 9:00am to 9:00pm every day; and Lake Durant pairs covered pavilions and picnic tables with a 296-acre lake and a two-mile nature trail. Before you pick a pavilion for a water slide, ask the city whether a spigot is close by, because water units need a water source and water hose, and the inflatable blower needs power as well.
Smaller Durant parks with pavilions
Not every party needs the lake. Schuler Park at North Fourth Avenue and Poplar Street has a 20 by 20 foot pavilion, restrooms, grills and a playground, and Dixon Durant Park on North 10th Avenue, formerly known as Rocket Park, has a picnic and pavilion area next to its playground and walking track. The city runs park reservations online through Durant Parks and Rec, and many rentals there are free. Book the space first, then send us the park name and time.
